The Aquarium

On Saturday we took Chase to the Living Planet Aquarium in Salt Lake, because we have a membership, and because Chase absolutely adores looking at fish. Here is a little video of clips we took while we were there.

Chase's Blessing (Christening)

We blessed Chase on March 9th, which was Tim's 27th birthday. Here are two pictures of him in his blessing outfit, which happens to be the outfit my brother Dan was blessed in. He is also wearing the shoes I was blessed in :) Chase was 2 months old by the time we blessed him because we wanted his Grandma Hemingway (Lee Ann) to be there for it. So he is a little (a lot big) for his outfit, but it is so cute! You can see his sweater riding up, and the buttons about to pop open. Oh yeah... we just barely took these pictures so he is actually about 2 1/2 months and probably twice as big as Dan was when he wore it... (literally).

Super Jake

Last week was our nephew Jake's 3rd birthday. Tim photoshopped his face over Superman's body to make a card for him (Jake LOVES Superman). Tim was really excited about it, but Jake didn't really seem to get it. He was so confused as to why his face was on Superman's body. It was so hilarious. He kept staring at the picture like "I don't remember doing this". His dad (Mark) asked him if he remembered getting his picture taken, and asked him if it's cool being Superman, and if he could show us how he flys. We finally got a reaction, and Jake threw his left fist out in front of him, like Superman does. It was so funny. Here is the picture Tim made for Jake.

Chase's First Word...

Well obviously at two and a half months Chase can't really talk, although if he takes after me we should be expecting whole sentences any day now, but we have had two really funny experiences where Chase has made sounds that sounded just like words.

The first happened at about 6 weeks. Katie was talking to him and she said, "Are you mommy's little sweetheart?" to which he promptly responded "no". It was hysterical.

The second happened earlier this week. We were pulling into our complex and in the middle of our conversation, out of the back seat we hear a loud, "Hi!" I turned to Katie, and said, "Did he just say what I think he did?" and she agreed that he had definitely said "Hi" We had a good laugh about that one.

Just as a quick side note, he also likes to sing along with The Killers, and imitate animal noises that his mommy and daddy make!

Blogging

For almost 2 years we've promised to set up a blog and we are finally doing it! I am a little technologically challenged so we will see how this goes...
