A Saturday Swim

Here are some pictures of Chase's first real swim. He loved it! It was about 85 degrees and perfect weather for a swim. I think we'll probably be at our pool all summer.

Also on Saturday, Tim & I did some gardening. Mostly because I need a hobby. I rather enjoyed going to nurseries and Home Depot all day. It was actually quite fun. We started with some roses, strawberries, hanging flower baskets, and a pepper garden. Then I somehow convinced tim to let me plant pumpkins and watermelons. When I told my mom I wanted to do this, she laughed and said 'good luck with that'. Which of course hit my stubborn nerve, and was the one thing she could have said that would to ensure I did everything possible to make sure these grow. ("Channeling in the right direction" right mom...?) So I will let you know if they actually do grow... I just want to carve a pumpkin I grew myself. Here are some pictures.

they were all white when we got them, but some are starting to turn red
our roses are a pretty pinkish-orange color

And finally, Chase got a high chair. We voted for the booster seat since we have 4 empty chairs at the table anyways. He loves loves loves this thing! It is awesome. It has a rainforest toy that sits in the tray so your kid can play with it while you cook dinner, and then you can just pop it out when you feed him. It is awesome, if you're looking for a high chair I recommend this one. It's cheap too. I'm going to write a letter to Fisher Price and tell them to make other toy trays that pop in, because I would totally buy more.

I'm incredibly jealous that you can take Chase to the pool; by the time Mandy is old enough, it will be too cold.

I think that gardening would not be the best hobby for me; I am the exact opposite of a green thumb. Good luck with your pumpkins! I hope that are giant.

I love baby hair that sticks up all crazy.

Oh, and the high chair rocks. Space saver, too!
